Vintage Fashion Friday – Black Edition

So this week I have joined some amazing vintage collectors and lovers in this collective of Vintage Black Friday! There are about 30 other vintage bloggers posting on Friday as well! Click on the photo about to see the full list of all the amazing Vintage Black Friday post!

Along with posting all black some interesting facts yesterday morning the Commerce Department announced that the Gross Domestic Product for the USA—the main indicator of America’s economic health—grew at an annual rate of 3.5% in the third quarter. Which is great news for not just Americans but the world.

Yesterday also marks the 80th anniversary of Black Tuesday, the 1929 stock market crash that ushered in the Great Depression. Prefect reason to post all black and remember what our ancestors went through.

This Vintage Sequin Black Party dress with Fuchsia Bow will make any girl smile when she puts it on.  This smiley number can be found at Luanne Vintage.

This 80′s grunge black mini dress will sure turn some heads weather your out shopping with the girls or on a night out on the town this black dress with mesh accents is quite a number and can be found at Santoki Vintage.

This amazing typewriter ring comes from Shop Jess Because who makes amazing modern pieces from vintage parts. Check out her line of typewriter rings in many different keys, totes and paper goods!

I love this little vintage elephant pin with his black and gold body and small faux diamond eye.  This item pick is inspired by an article I read awhile back that said that if illegal wildlife trade continues at the rate it is it could potentially drive elephants in Africa to extinction by 2025.  This is a sad sad thought!  Purchase this great elephant instead of ivory at Angry Butterfly.

This Black and White Squid Bottle Cap Necklace comes from PIFS (Pay It Forward Shop).  When I stumbled across this shop a few weeks ago and read the story of Levi and his mother DeAnna it put me into tears as they are both such selfless people. I encourage everyone to stop by their shop, read their story and show them some love!

So I am huge fan of picnics in the park or by the water sitting on a red and white checkered blanket with a drink in hand and this Vintage Cocktail Party on the Go kit would be the perfect addition to any picnic.  Who doesn’t enjoy a nice glass of wine or Cocktail with their cheese? This amazing kit can be found at Shrimp Salad Circus.

Now growing up I was never a fan of Barbie I was the tom-boy who would pull the arms off barbie. BUT she has had so much success and to celebrate Barbie’s 50th Anniversary this 1964 Barbie Doll Suit Case would be an amazing addition to anyone’s barbie collection.  This great case can be found at Vaydasophias boutique.

Thanks so much for dropping by and checking out my favorite picks of the week. Be sure to check out all the shops above for other amazing finds!  Sorry it was a little short this week but I have been sick!

Have an awesome Halloween everyone!
