{one week in of being my own boss}

{learn… original painting by corid}

Alright things that I learnt my first week of being my own boss:

    • I need to have everything around me organized. I hate looking for things.
    • We need more space! Wrapping up packages with your computer and sewing machine on the same table is not to fun.
    • Time slips away from you way faster when you are the one in control of it. Need a bit more structure to my days.
    • Our living room gets a lot of sun in the afternoon and will be perfect for pictures. I am not happy with the quality of mine now in either shop.
    • I have more time to create and have done tons of sketches for cards for Freakin Awesome Prints. Hope to have them up in March!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Stay tuned for some more great posts this week. One all about my kittens!
If you have any suggestions or comments about being your own boss please feel free to leave it. I will take all the help I can get.

    It’s amazing how different things are when you really are on the other side, huh? Even after 6 years of being my own boss your first point is an ongoing battle for me. You’ll find a new rhythm for your day just give it some time.

    Wishing you the best!

    I think training myself and my family to respect the fact that just because I’m at home doesn’t mean I’m goofing off and available ALL the time will help me tremendously to get better at structuring my day.

    Structure is a biggy for sure! :)
